Why (did I) choose the SYNC AB03?

I have tried many different aftermarket aerobar options before the SYNC Aerobar Three was available. Unfortunately, none of them really ticked all my boxes, so I always had to resort to custom made options.

These days, going for custom bars is still a possibility, as long as you have your position perfectly dialed in and tested beforehand.

That is exactly where the catch lies though. To get a client aero tested (or myself on a new bike) and set up in the first place, we need a solution that is fully adaptable to then be able to create a custom solution.

With the SYNC Aerobar Three (AB03), not only is the adjustment box ticked, but as it turns out it also outperforms custom made options (check out my own testing here), making them redundant in the end!

On top of ticking both of these boxes, the AB03s are also beautifully made, look incredibly cool on any bike and come with a wide range of fitting options and accessories.

At this point, I truly find it hard to recommend any other bar to my clients, and it is also the system I will be using for the foreseeable future.

For this reason, all of our high-end TT/Tri builds in 2026 featured the SYNC AB03 – all of which had performed exceptionally well in our aero testing on the velodrome.

What do I need to order to fit the SYNC Aerobar Three to my bike?

1. A set of AB03 bars, where you need to specify:
   a) your size extension length (S/M/L),
   b) your angle kit (15-20deg, 20-25deg or both if you want extra testing options)
   c) your desired computer mount insert – available for Garmin or Wahoo bike computers
   d) your grip type (Triathlon specific, or UCI compliant, for SRAM Wireless Blips or Shimano SW-R9150 shift buttons)
2. A fit kit, specific to your bike/basebar. Offset and inline options available, with three different widths: 95/115/135mm. The width of your fit kit influences the effective arm cup width of your bars.
3. OPTIONAL – You can add a BTA mount if needed or a riser bridge for higher stack positions.

 

How quickly can I get my SYNC AB03?

As of September 2026, we will stock most commonly used variations of the AB03 system, with the main focus being on the bike types and brands that we sell as a shop. These will ship directly from our store in Slovakia via DHL EXPRESS. You can expect a turnaround time of 1-3 days in most cases when ordering to EU countries, and 5-10 days for international shipments.

For back-ordered parts, you can expect an ETA of 2-3 weeks depending on the availability and shipping schedules.

How can I achieve the fastest possible position with my new aerobars?

Even with a product as good as the SYNC AB03, the only way to achieve your maximum potential is to optimize your setup via aero testing.

We can help you do this via our velodrome testing program, or even remotely via CFD Analysis.

– Telescopic design allowing for fine tuning of extension length, with 30 mm that can be trimmed from the extension.

– The large clamp offers an additional 30 mm of extension reach.

– 6061 T6 aluminium extension clamps, maximising strength in the most critical region of the extensions.

– AB03 angle adjustable Clamp Cradles, 6061 T6, maximising strength and reliability.

– Self-aligning with extension clamp for easy assembly, dowel pins for assisted alignment with lower spacer components.

– 15, 20 and 25 degree clamp cradles available plus angle adjustment wedges at 2.5 and 5 degrees cater for 15-30 degrees total range.
