Making the fastest riders faster is the mantra and the Aerohead™ Mips® II is the first product from the partnership with the fastest riders in the world in the Visma/Lease a Bike team. The Aerohead Mips II was developed with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and artificial intelligence and tested in the wind tunnel with two-time Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard.

It’s the most aerodynamic time trial helmet ever, pushing the limits of UCI rules. CE and CPSC safety standards are met and exceeded, with the added protection of the Mips® Air Node, a lightweight and ventilated solution for rotational energy management. Visibility is optimized with a magnetically attached, oversized lens from ZEISS® Optics positioned away from the rider’s face, allowing air to flow over the forehead and under the Roc Loc® 5+ Air fitting system. Each Aerohead Mips II comes with two lenses (Clear and VIVID® Smoke) and a padded carrying case.

Technologies

In-Mold
With the In-Mold construction, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell in a single step during the foaming process. This makes the helmet even more resistant without adding weight. This production process also makes it possible to create significantly better ventilation systems and ventilation openings. Compared to traditional helmets, in-mold helmets are therefore lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems.

^MIPS® is a sliding plane system inside the helmet designed to slow down or absorb the amount of energy transmitted towards or away from the head.

Roc Loc 5
The new benchmark in adjustment systems is undoubtedly the Roc ^Loc® 5 adjustment system. The adjustment mechanism is in a mini-housing, the size adjustment is simple and can be done with two fingers in micro-grids. The height of the system can also be adjusted to ensure a perfect helmet fit.
